McKeesport police were called to a report of gunfire near the 50 building of Crawford Village around 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 1, according to the release.
Three men were found with gunshot wounds: 22-year-old Jerred Duncan of Turtle Creek was pronounced deceased on scene and 30-year-old Jordan Eubanksof McKeesport was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced deceased, and 18-year-old Davon Flewellen-Belton was transported to an area hospital in stable condition with a gunshot wound to the leg, as detailed in the release.
Allegheny County Police's Homicide Unit led the investigation. Detectives learned a physical fight between Duncan and Eubanks led to the gunfire. Eubanks, Flewellen-Belton, and Flewellen-Belton's 44-year-old father, all fired guns during the fight, officials say.
A 47-year-old man had been found with a gunshot wound to the head on Versailles Avenue just after 12 p.m. He was taken to the hospital and was later pronounced dead, according to Allegheny County officials.
The two not only left three men dead but the cause a scary moment for the community as three McKeesport schools went into "an exterior lockdown due to nearby police activity," according to a Facebook post by the district.
McKeesport Area Senior High School, Founder's Hall Middle School, and Twin Rivers Elementary all reopened later that afternoon.
Davon Flewellen-Belton was charged on Thursday with carrying a firearm without a license and a misdemeanor drug possession charge, court records show. Additional charges in these two separate cases might be filed at a later date.
He has been held in the Allegheny County Jail after failing to post $5,000 in bail, and his preliminary hearing has been set before Magisterial District Judge Eugene F. Riazzi Jr. on March 13 at 8:30 a.m., according to his latest court docket.
Flewellen-Belton has active charges for theft, conspiracy, corruption of minors, receiving stolen goods, night prowling, driving without a license, and escape in connection with an incident on Sept. 5, 2022, court records show. Details of the case were not immediately available.
